Goodwood Restaurants are currently located in Kentucky. In addition to barrel aged beers, you’ll find a long list of rotating drafts from our talented brewers including favorites such as our honey ale, blackberry sour and hazy ipa. A full bar is available including craft cocktails that feature popular Kentucky spirits such as Buffalo Trace, Woodford Reserve and Wheatley Vodka. The kitchen provides southern staples like Chicken and Waffles, Fried Green Tomatoes and a brisket topped burger.

THIEVING EXPERIENCE & TASTING

In the cellar is the heart of our distillery. There you’ll find the blending experience room. Here you’ll be guided through the process of “thieving” or extracting bourbon directly from the barrel. You’ll have chance to sample a selection of different taste profiles.

It’s the kind of experience to be shared with friends and family and one you’ll want to do again and again.

The Cafe was first established at The Louisville Antique Mall on Goss Avenue in Germantown. After twelve successful years Sal and Cindy Rubino purchased the property at 712 Brent Street in Paristown Pointe and relocated The Cafe in October 2007. The Cafe made yet another move in 2020 across the street to 711 Brent St. into the larger, newly renovated historic Louisville Leather Company Tannery building.

This is your entry into Angel’s Envy. Our most popular guided tour takes you through the fermenters, still, and bottling line—offering a hands-on sensory journey. The tour concludes with a guided tasting of all three expressions, paired with our artisanal chocolates.

In the heart of Louisville, Kentucky, Angel’s Envy was founded by Bourbon Hall of Fame member and Master Distiller, Lincoln Henderson, and his son Wes Henderson. Built on a tremendous legacy and a pioneering spirit, Angel’s Envy innovated the foundations of bourbon and rye through a unique “secondary finishing” technique. By maturing our whiskey in charred oak barrels, then transferring it to secondary finishing casks, we crafted a distinct blend of refined complexity with an inviting flavor profile.

By paying attention to both the chocolate and the bourbon, we deliver a taste experience like no other.

"We chose the Angels and Outlaws tour to sample and visit some new destinations. Our first stop to Frazier History Museum was a surprise with a visual tour of the bourbon industry in Kentucky. We tasted four bourbons we've never had before and all were good. Traveled to Stitzel-Weller property in Shively. Had a great tour guide who explained the history of the property and how they managed to stay in business during prohibition. Best known for their flagship bourbon, Blade and Bow. The building also houses Julian "Pappy" VanWinkle's former office. Had lunch at The Cafe and walked across the street to Uncle Boojie's, a brand-new distillery. Owner Steve Smith shared some colorful history of his family's coveted recipe, and we got to sample straight from the barrels. The tour continued to Angel's Envy, a unique tour experience and chocolates were paired with bourbon samples. Finished the day at Art Eatables on Main Street. We sampled delicious truffles with different bourbons. Truly a fun experience."

The Old Talbott Tavern

When visitors walk into the Old Talbott Tavern, there’s a feeling about the place. It’s well kept, but the passage of time is evident in a few creaking floorboards. There’s an air about the place that speaks of people who have come and gone, spending time in the pub and retiring to their rooms before an early morning departure. The old stone reminder of Bardstown’s beginnings still welcomes visitors to the bustling downtown area. Since the late 1700s, the Old Talbott Tavern, on Court Square, has provided shelter, food and drink to Kentucky travelers. The Old Talbott Tavern is said to be the oldest western stagecoach stop in America as the westward expansion brought explorers from the east into Kentucky.
