Buffalo Trace Distillery

Throughout the challenges of floods, fires, tornadoes and even Prohibition, the American family-owned Buffalo Trace Distillery has never compromised. A timeless dedication to respecting the past while fearlessly innovating for the future has served us well for more than two centuries. No matter the challenge, be it Mother Nature or man, the people of our Distillery have been part of the story that shaped America and the spirit industry as well.

TASTING EXPERIENCE

Enjoy a tasting experience with a sampling of Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Weller Special Reserve Bourbon, Wheatley Vodka, and a rotating sample of the day.

"The Bourbon Social Legends & Barrels Tour was so fun! The shuttle service between The Galt House, Frazier Museum, and all of the distilleries in Frankfort was a smooth ride and made it a seamless experience. George and Andy were fantastic guides. I highly recommend Pegasus Tours, and I’d love to do a customized tour in the future when I have guests visiting!"

TOUR & TASTING

This is your entry into Angel’s Envy. Our most popular guided tour takes you through the fermenters, still, and bottling line—offering a hands-on sensory journey. The tour concludes with a guided tasting of all three expressions, paired with our artisanal chocolates.

In the heart of Louisville, Kentucky, Angel’s Envy was founded by Bourbon Hall of Fame member and Master Distiller, Lincoln Henderson, and his son Wes Henderson. Built on a tremendous legacy and a pioneering spirit, Angel’s Envy innovated the foundations of bourbon and rye through a unique “secondary finishing” technique. By maturing our whiskey in charred oak barrels, then transferring it to secondary finishing casks, we crafted a distinct blend of refined complexity with an inviting flavor profile.

"We chose the Angels and Outlaws tour to sample and visit some new destinations. Our first stop to Frazier History Museum was a surprise with a visual tour of the bourbon industry in Kentucky. We tasted four bourbons we've never had before and all were good. Traveled to Stitzel-Weller property in Shively. Had a great tour guide who explained the history of the property and how they managed to stay in business during prohibition. Best known for their flagship bourbon, Blade and Bow. The building also houses Julian "Pappy" VanWinkle's former office. Had lunch at The Cafe and walked across the street to Uncle Boojie's, a brand-new distillery. Owner Steve Smith shared some colorful history of his family's coveted recipe, and we got to sample straight from the barrels. The tour continued to Angel's Envy, a unique tour experience and chocolates were paired with bourbon samples. Finished the day at Art Eatables on Main Street. We sampled delicious truffles with different bourbons. Truly a fun experience."

James B. Beam Distillery

TOUR & TASTING

For eight generations, Jim Beam welcomed folks from far and wide to their home and distillery. Some call it Kentucky hospitality. For them, it’s just who they are. Join them in Clermont where a tradition that started two centuries ago continues today. As the First Family of Bourbon, they’ve been at work on our craft for centuries. Sometimes they break the rules, but there’s one they always follow: only bottle whiskey worthy of the Beam name.

"Wonderful day... would do it again for sure... could not recommend you all more highly. The tours are excellent ...the food ,the conversation... very impressive. Wes had an unlimited amount of knowledge about Bourbon and the processes. Approachable, entertaining... everything you'd hope for in a host."
