FAQs

How long do the tours last?

Every Pegasus Walking Tour is a little different, with unique routes, stories, and experiences. Most tours last between 2–5 hours, depending on the itinerary. We believe great experiences shouldn't be rushed, so we'll take our time exploring, discovering, and enjoying the journey together.

How much walking is involved?

Most tours cover approximately 1–2 miles at a comfortable, leisurely pace, with plenty of opportunities to stop, explore, take photos, and enjoy the experience.

Do I need to be in great shape?

Not at all! Our tours are designed to be enjoyable and accessible for most guests. As long as you're comfortable being on your feet for a few hours and walking at a relaxed pace, you'll fit right in.

Do I need to bring identification?

Yes. You must bring an ID with you that shows your age. Most distilleries will NOT allow you in without a valid ID.

What should I wear?

Comfort is key. We recommend comfortable clothing, supportive walking shoes, and dressing for the weather. Kentucky weather can be a little unpredictable, so layers are always a smart choice.

What happens if it rains?

A little rain won't stop the adventure! Most tours operate rain or shine. If inclement weather is expected, we'll communicate any updates in advance and let you know if plans need to change.

Are the tours wheelchair or stroller friendly?

Accessibility varies by route. Some areas may include uneven sidewalks, stairs, hills, or historic streets. Please contact us before booking, and we'll be happy to help determine the best tour option for your needs.

Are there restrooms along the route?

While restrooms aren't available at every stop, we do plan opportunities for restroom breaks throughout the tour. We always recommend using the restroom before the tour begins.

Can I bring my kids?

Our walking tours are designed for adults and guests 21 years of age and older. All participants must be at least 21 years old to attend.

Can I bring my pet?

As much as we love furry friends, pets should stay home for these tours. Service animals are always welcome.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes. Advance reservations are highly recommended, as tour sizes are intentionally limited to create a more personal and enjoyable experience.

When should I arrive?

Please plan to arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled departure time. This gives everyone time to check in and allows us to start the adventure promptly.

What are the tour times and departure locations?

Specific departure times will be included in your tour confirmation and itinerary.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

No. Outside alcoholic beverages, including flasks, mini bottles, and open containers, are not permitted on any tour.

Our goal is to provide a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone. We carefully manage all food and beverage experiences throughout the tour, and this policy is strictly enforced.

Can I take pictures?

Absolutely! We encourage it. Capture the memories, share the experience, and tell your story. We simply ask that you be respectful of fellow guests, private property, and any photography guidelines shared by your guide.

Are gratuities included?

Gratuities are not included in the tour price. If your guide helped create a memorable experience, tips are always appreciated.
