Located in the vibrant city of Louisville, Uncle Boojie's Homeplace offers a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere reminiscent of a traditional family gathering. Guests are introduced to the Barrel Folks, who are Stave & Thief Certified Bourbon Stewards, and will be guided through a tasting experience featuring selections from Skeeter Holler's finest barrels. The stewards share the history and development of their family recipe, which has been refined over more than two centuries.
Homeplace serves as more than a tasting room; it represents a connection to the founders' family heritage. Drawing on traditions rooted in Kentucky's Scotch‑Irish ancestry, influenced by the region's Appalachian origins, limestone-rich springs, and local enterprise, Homeplace offers an authentic experience that reflects the heritage of bourbon production.
Here at the Homeplace, you don’t just sip—you hunt. Draw bourbon straight from the barrel using an honesty thief, sample the uncooked, unfiltered full-bodied spirit, and listen to the land’s tale in every drop. Whether it’s bold and fiery or soft and honeyed, each barrel’s character is etched by the seasons of Skeeter Holler, and it’ll whisper whether it’s got your name on it.

Howdy, folks—Uncle Boojie here, invitin’ ya to our Homeplace for a taste of our Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, a 200-year-old family recipe. We’re open seven days a week at our bourbon distillery, ‘cept major holidays, so come by anytime. Must be 21 to sip—no exceptions—and leave weapons at home. We keep tastin’ groups cozy, ‘bout 10 folks. Kids are welcome but can’t enter the bonded warehouse—whiskey rules are strict.
In our bourbon tasting warehouse, you’ll sample Kentucky bourbon whiskey straight from the barrel—raw, unfiltered, and bold. Each nip lets that Kentucky fire dance on your tongue. Find a bourbon barrel you love, and you’ll have the option to bottle it yourself, label it, and take home a one-of-a-kind keepsake. While sippin’, we’ll share tales of our ancestors who brought this whiskey tradition to America, dodgin’ storms and revenuers. Most stories are true, but a few might grow taller with each nip.
The experience takes ‘bout an hour, but stick around after for our drink-slingers to whip up a curated cocktail to keep the good times rollin’.
