  • Master Distillers & Blenders: Women are taking top production roles, with Elizabeth McCall becoming Master Distiller at Woodford Reserve in 2023. Marianne Eaves broke ground as a young female Master Distiller in Kentucky, bringing new, creative, and bold perspectives to spirit creation.

  • Distillery Ownership & Founding: Women are becoming owners and founders, such as Jeptha Creed Distillery's Joyce Nethery and the team behind Texas-based Whiskey, including founder and Master Blender Heather Greene.

  • Industry Influence: Bourbon Women Association, founded by Peggy Noe Stevens, marks its 15th anniversary in 2026, continuing to connect, educate, and elevate women through networking, tastings, and the SIP Scholarship.

  • Recognition: The industry is increasingly honoring women, such as the Bourbon Women's WOW (Women of Whiskey) Awards. 

  • Innovative Collaborations: Bourbon Women is collaborating with industry experts to release a 15th-anniversary whiskey blend, showcasing the skill of women in blending and distillation.
